The last decade has seen the emergence of true adoption of Shared Services in India. It is possibly the beginning of a new era where we are challenging existing legacies, and building an innovative India.

The time is now ripe for Excellence Awards & Recognition to those who have redesigned Business Processes and achieved Business Performance Improvement through Shared Service Centers (SSC). With this intent, All India Management Association (AIMA) & Delhi Management Association (DMA), in collaboration with RvaluE Consulting as knowledge partners, have instituted Shared Services Excellence Awards and Recognition.

These Awards have been established to honour, recognize and promote Business Process Management (BPM) strategies for shared services demonstrating winning practices. Shared Services Excellence awards are designed to recognize contributions by Companies that are broadly comparable. 

These Awards are poised to become the benchmark for Indian Corporate to adopt Shared Services.

Parameters for Judgement:

The Shared Services Excellence Awards & Recognition is applicable to SSCs / CPCs who have excelled in their category. The assessment is based on the strategy and goals of the SSCs / CPCs and how the key strategic drivers are identified and implemented to deliver value to all the stakeholders – customers, employees and shareholders. The focus is on excellence in seven parameters, namely Effective BPM Strategy through SSC/CPC, Establishing Customer Oriented Practices, Change, Culture & Communication, People & Talent Management, Knowledge Management, Automation and Value Creation & Maturity.

Independent Jury:

The Organizing Committee has constituted an Independent Jury Panel comprising practitioners with proven experience and expertise in business process management and services. The process will be facilitated by the Chairman, Organizing Committee and RvaluE representatives. RvaluE Consulting, as Knowledge Partners to the Conclave, have been assigned the role to help in the process of short listing the entries by providing industry perspective and analysis of various submissions made by companies with SSCs/ CPCs.

ONGC embarked upon realignment of its multi-faceted business activities through the powerful medium of IT. The IT mission was realigned ‘To develop an integrated, flexible and standardized Information Technology architecture to position ONGC towards fundamental competitive advantage’.

Key initiatives taken during BPM Implementation/ Automation: FileNet enabled, progressive payment life cycle reduction from 90 days to 53 days further reduced to 17 days in Jun’13 with >85% payment on time through VPOT (Vendor Payment on Time) program. Fully automated in-house tool was developed for revenue reporting by integration of the billing systems with the ERP Oracle R12.
