Iron Mountain, a provider of storage and information management services, has announced a partnership with Hyland, a provider of enterprise content management software, to help reduce the costs and inefficiencies associated with manual, paper-based back office business functions like accounts payable, contracts management and other back-office processes.

Through the partnership, Iron Mountain is introducing “Iron Mountain Workflow Automation powered by Hyland,” a set of solutions that automate the workflows for these functions, enabling organizations of all sizes to convert to digital ways of working, saving time and reducing costs.

By combining Iron Mountain’s records management and document imaging processes with OnBase by Hyland’s hosted workflow software, customers can work more efficiently by integrating physical and digital information.

According to the companies, the new combined solution can assist organizations in achieving  streamlined A/P processing, reduced employee involvement to exception handling, and reduced cost per transaction; streamlined monthly financial close, improved controls, visibility, tracking and dispute resolution; freedom from routine tasks, process visibility with quantitative metrics and audit tracking; and faster turnaround, along with minimized risk of noncompliance penalties and missed opportunities for renegotiation.
