Moorthy LG, leads the Global Business Services for Olam International, which is a leading agri-business operating from seed to shelf, supplying food and industrial raw materials worldwide with a direct presence in 70 countries. The Global Business Services is a multi-function shared services comprising of Finance, Human Resources, Risk Management, Supply Chain and Big Data Analytics covering Olam’s global operations. Moorthy is a Key Leader of Olam’s Digital Task Force and he champions the application of new technologies like the RPA,  Paperless & Smart contracts (incl. Block Chain), Big Data Analytics and Digital Traceability solutions within Olam.  Moorthy  is extremely passionate about enhancing productivity and efficiency at the Global Business Services and he strongly believes that augmenting Automation using RPA is a means to this end.

Moorthy has over 17 years of experience in agribusiness.  Well-rounded professional with experience in finance operation & reporting, corporate finance, M&A, taxation, legal, derivatives & risk management and shared services.    He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has previously played the role of Chief Financial Officer for Olam’s Latin America Operation.

ONGC embarked upon realignment of its multi-faceted business activities through the powerful medium of IT. The IT mission was realigned ‘To develop an integrated, flexible and standardized Information Technology architecture to position ONGC towards fundamental competitive advantage’.

Key initiatives taken during BPM Implementation/ Automation: FileNet enabled, progressive payment life cycle reduction from 90 days to 53 days further reduced to 17 days in Jun’13 with >85% payment on time through VPOT (Vendor Payment on Time) program. Fully automated in-house tool was developed for revenue reporting by integration of the billing systems with the ERP Oracle R12.
