The theme of this 7th edition of SSF's Annual Conclave was: ReSHAPING THE TRANSFORMATION STRATEGY - What Triggers? What Matters? What Next? The Conclave was attended by 120+ senior executives and veterans from across India, with very eminent industry leaders as Speakers and delivering case presentations.
EBEX is identified as not only the first shared service for a media organisation, offering mainstream functions, like F&A, Procurement, HR, but also offering complex processes like Legal, Talent Acquisition & Revenue assurance as a service, with overall 18 processes on the list.

Shared service is one of the fastest growing industries globally. Many big organizations are setting up their shared services to bring in efficiency. Global in-house centers (GICs) are a significant component of the global services market and continue to grow, current share being about 25%. The shared services industry has been growing at a CAGR of 6%.
The guest of honour, Mr. Sameep Shastri, Member Governing Body, BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Member- Bhartiya Janata Party, and grandson of former Prime Minister of India, Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri looked at the conclave as a platform for bringing together the leaders of the shared services industry, sharing their insights towards building and contributing to the growth of the Indian Economy. “Shri Narendra Modi's government is very progressively working towards bringing the digital transformation in India across sectors and I personally believe that Shared Services Forum is tremendously supporting in that journey of reshaping of Indian economy” said Shri Shastri.
Mr. Irendra Chhabra, MD & CEO, Essel Business Excellence Services, also addressed the gathering with his idea of transformation. “Real transformation is not done by bringing newer technology only, but by creating a mix of transformation of people, processes and technology”, Mr Chhabra said. He made his presence felt by sharing the company's vision and thoughtfulness via a panel discussion on “Scaling Up, Transforming and Sustaining Shared Service Operations in India”.
Many other notable panellists from organizations like IBM, Tata Motors, Tata Steel, Nokia, Karvy Computershare, Raymond Limited, Everest Group, Boston Scientific, Dr Reddy's Laboratories and Piramal Enterprises shared their views about how the transformation strategy is reshaping, driving higher performance, capacity building and enhanced predictability. “Transformational Strategies for value delivery and value innovation” was another interesting discussion of the day.
