Dayanand Allapur (Daya) is the Vice-President and Head of Human Resources for Capgemini Business Services, India, and the Global Delivery Network that includes Latin America, Poland, China & Australia. He is a member of the Leadership team providing strategic support to the management. Before joining Capgemini he was with Tesco in Bangalore as their Head of Human Resources. In his last international assignment he was with Patni Americas as Vice President and Head of Human Resources, based out of Boston, USA.

Daya holds a Master's degree in Human Resources from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai and is a certified Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) from Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Daya has over 23 years of well-rounded global HR experience which includes 10 years of working overseas. He brings a global outlook to the function by virtue of having lived and worked in Boston, Pittsburgh & Chicago, USA and London, UK and Sydney Australia. Over these years, he has actively worked across multi-cultural workforce from Americas to Europe to Asia Pacific regions. In his global assignments he has managed diverse portfolios involving, Talent Management, Global Resource Management, Mergers & Acquisitions and Change Management and Program Management of large initiatives. He brings with him a wide mix of Retail, IT Services, BPO, Manufacturing, Infrastructure and Banking sectors. Tesco HSC, Patni Americas Inc, iGate Global Solutions, Citicorp Overseas Pvt. Ltd., HMT and GVK Group.

Daya is an avid outdoors person and enjoys activities such as cross-country motor biking, cycling, hiking, trekking, nature camping, gardening. He likes working with the younger generation as they inspire adventurous outlook to life. He recently joined a group of youngsters on a Pan-Himalayan motor biking trip covering nearly 3500 Kms. He enjoys reading English and Kannada literature. Daya is also actively involved in NGOs and community service organizations in the rural sector in the areas of child education and environment.
