Rakesh Kumar Gupta

Rakesh Kumar Gupta serves as Managing Director of Allianz Cornhill Information Services (ACIS) Private Ltd. He is a B Tech in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad, the premier business school in India, with more than 3 decades of experience in technical, managerial and leadership roles in IT & BPM industry covering all aspects of business management both in India and overseas. Prior to joining ACIS, he had diverse corporate experience managing key positions in British Telecom in UK, GE Appliances in USA, Tata Unisys and Larsen & Toubro in India.

ACIS is a pioneer of the ITeS Industry in the State of Kerala, set up as a Captive offshore facility of Allianz Insurance Plc, operating from the Technopark Thiruvananthapuram, a tier 2 city, offering both IT and ITeS services. Rakesh, an entrepreneur with a salaried job, helped establish ACIS from the very inception in early 2003 as Chief Operating Officer, setting up the IT division and the Business Process Services unit in 2005. The services cover multiple complex processes like Application Development and Maintenance, Business Process, IT Operations and Finance Offshoring.

Rakesh is recognized by the Allianz holding board as among the few 'Great People Leaders' in 2014 across the Allianz Group. He is a great source of inspiration for many leaders, and particularly for Global In house Shared Services. His peers and colleagues in the industry consider his logical thinking abilities and his keen eye for numbers as some of his key strengths. He enjoys playing Bridge and badminton. He has authored a book on SUDOKU & has great interest in Vedic Mathematics and topics of Aura & applications of Indian Mythology in the modern corporate world.
