Start NowSanjeev Varma is the CEO, Steria (India) and is responsible for the overall Indian operations and strategy. He is the member of the Executive Committee of the Steria Group and chairs the Executive Committee of Steria India.
Groupe Steria is a French IT services organisation with presence in 16 countries and FY11 revenue of Euro 1.75 billion. It is ranked amongst the top 10 IT service providers in Europe. Steria India (erstwhile Xansa) is a 100% subsidiary of Groupe Steria. The Asia Pacific operations of Groupe Steria, based out of Singapore are also aligned to Steria (India) with respect to governance and financial & operational review.
With over 25 years’ experience, Sanjeev has controlled and marked focus in key business areas such as Business Planning Strategy, Corporate Finance and M&A. At Steria, he has played a pivotal role in the integration of Xansa with Groupe Steria. In October 2007, Groupe Steria had acquired Xansa which was largely a UK business entity.
Sanjeev has also been honoured and celebrated by CFO Indian Association with Deloitte, as a “thinker and for the power of his ideas to transforming the financial arena” at the FinThinkers Fest 2013.
His expertise spans across – management of global corporate strategies; building and maintaining talents across geographies; profitable turnaround of operations through effective business strategies; management of global alliances and building strong leadership teams.
Prior to joining Steria, Sanjeev was based out of US in his role as CFO with HCL Technologies America. Sanjeev has also played many key roles in HCL Infosystems Ltd., HCL Hewlett Packard Ltd. and National Fertilizers Ltd.
