Urs-Ulrich Katzenstein

Head of Business Development Shared Services IT, Bell Food Group (Switzerland)

Urs-Ulrich Katzenstein is Swiss and studied at Universities of Basel and St. Gallen in Switzerland and finished his Master's Degree in Business Administration, majoring in international Management with minor degrees in East Asian Studies. During his studies at University St. Gallen, Urs was co-founder of a student initiative organizing study tours throughout India to "Discover Business India"

Urs worked with the Metro Group from 1998 and held various positions in Operations, Process and Internal Audit in several countries of the METRO Group and held the position Managing Director of the METRO Global Business Services Pvt. Ltd in Pune from 2014 to 2017.

Urs moved back to Basel, Switzerland to take care of his ageing parents and joined the Bell Food Group (BFG), where he is currently Head of Business Development for Shared Services IT. Bell Food Group is one of the biggest producers of Meat and Convenience food in Switzerland as well as the biggest Fish importer to Switzerland.

In this role he is responsible for SAP group wide implementations (including S4/Hana migrations) and other major software implementation projects. He also represents the Shared Services IT in relevant committees and in the board of Bell Switzerland. Lastly he is responsible for IT topics in the BFG global COVID 19 Crisis Management team.
