Rajiv, is a seasoned business leader with nearly 27+ years of rich cross-functional and cross-industry experience in Consulting, Office Automation (Ricoh), FMCG (Gillette), Manufacturing (Owens), Healthcare (Max), IT/ITES (Dell), Life Insurance (DLF Pramerica) & Medical Devices (Boston Scientific) sectors. He has deep management experience, strong leadership skills together with broad business perspectives developed across many multinational environments, both globally & in India.

Currently with Boston Scientific since Oct ‘2011 (a global medical technology leader for over 37 years, a worldwide developer, manufacturer and marketer of medical devices with approximately 25,000 employees and operational revenue of $8.386 billion in 2016 (Market Cap. of over US$ 35Bn), providing a broad and deep portfolio of innovative products, technologies and services across a wide range of medical specialties that address unmet patient needs and reduce the cost of healthcare through innovative medical solutions).

Ever since joining Boston Scientific as their Director Finance for the India Hub, comprising the responsibilities of India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan & Maldives . Rajiv was instrumental in streamlining the finance and IT functions together with setting up of the requisite strategic & operational infrastructure for the next stage of Boston Scientific’s growth plans in India. As recognition for his leadership, contributions and game changing inputs …he & his team was awarded Boston Scientific’s Asia Pacific Star award for the best performing team of 2012-13 in the APAC region.

Further, as an acknowledgment of his cross functional abilities and strategic skill sets, he was elevated as the Whole time Director on the Board & entrusted with additional responsibilities of operations, supply chain and sales distribution departments. He is a complete hands-on business enabler and proactively collaborates with all the internal & external stakeholders to provide both strategic & analytical insights to drive organizational growth … the right way, (in the last 4 years BS India has grown profitably with a CAGR of 21%+). Additionally Rajiv was made a founder Director on the Board of Boston Scientific Technology & Engineering Services Pvt. Ltd. in 2015 to advise and support BSC’s Research & Development initiatives in the AMEA region.

Previously for 4 years as a founder member DLF Pramerica (JV of Prudential Financial, U.S.A), he directed the setting up of long term financial framework in sync with strategic business direction. Here-at, through the multiple departments including Finance, Investments, Risk, and Infrastructure Administration under his charge he strengthened the customer & investor relationships. Alongside, managed organizational risks to ensure & maintain the financial health of the company. Earlier, for 4 years as the Director Finance of Dell India, a subsidiary of a leading global computer systems manufacturer and technology co’, Rajiv introduced and led multiple finance initiatives across multiple Dell India offices and drove cross-functional ingenuities to strengthen & establish robust controls along-with apt compliance mechanisms. Moreover, he built strong partnerships with the local government authorities and industry leaders to drive key environmental changes enabling healthy sectorial growth.

He is a Life Member of the Delhi Management Association and intermittent speaker on topics of professional and current interest at various meetings & forums. Passionate about people development, he continues to conduct training programs in the areas of “Leadership progression”; “building financial & commercial acumen in an ever evolving digitized world” and “Effective finance & operations alignment for business growth”. Rajiv is married to Anju, a fashion designer and they have two children (Raghav, age 16 & Devika, age 10). He is an avid sportsman, a fervent music fan, a voracious reader of books on strategy & management and is a nature lover. He is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a B. Com (Hons) graduate from The University of Delhi.

ONGC embarked upon realignment of its multi-faceted business activities through the powerful medium of IT. The IT mission was realigned ‘To develop an integrated, flexible and standardized Information Technology architecture to position ONGC towards fundamental competitive advantage’.

Key initiatives taken during BPM Implementation/ Automation: FileNet enabled, progressive payment life cycle reduction from 90 days to 53 days further reduced to 17 days in Jun’13 with >85% payment on time through VPOT (Vendor Payment on Time) program. Fully automated in-house tool was developed for revenue reporting by integration of the billing systems with the ERP Oracle R12.
