Hitesh Vakil is Chief Executive Officer of Essel Business Excellence Service Center, responsible for Business Process Management for Essel Group’s 5 listed Media companies and 42 operating subsidiaries

Essel Group Operates in multigeography/ Multimedia products and has fairly diversified Business interests in Media & entertainment, News Broadcasting, Cable Distribution, DTH, Education, Amusement Parks, Infrastructure, IT, Financial Services, Gold refineries, etc. Essel Group employs more than 8000 employees, has a group turnover of over Rs. 30,000 cr, and combined Market cap exceeding USD 8 Bn.

Hitesh Vakil has successfully set up the Business Excellence Centre in one year’s time with State of Art Infrastructure facility at Noida. In first phase of this journey towards Excellence, he has designed & developed end to end integrated Process like Procure to Pay, Document Management System, Order to Cash Process, Human Resource Integrated System, Travel & Expense Portal, Vendor Portal bringing in significant Process Improvement & efficiency at a group level.

In second Phase, he aims to set up Center of Excellence in the field of Legal Services, Taxation Services, Financial Services, BI/BO/ Analytics & MIS and marketing Research services.

Hitesh Vakil is a qualified Chartered Accountant with 30 years of overall experience. He has 20 years of experience specifically in Media & Entertainment Industry. Prior to taking up this position as CEO – Essel Business Excellence, he worked as CFO of Group’s pioneer Media company viz Zee entertainment Enterprises Ltd (ZEE) for 19 years. He joined ZEE in 1995 and has played a key role in all value maximizing opportunities in the form of new Business, expansions, M & A, Capital structuring, corporate restructuring and other growth opportunity that ZEE has pursued during his tenure.
